Lead Designer

The Role

• We are looking for an experienced Lead Designer to help shape the player experience of our new IP. This is an opportunity to work on a new IP at the ground level and play a significant role in bringing it to market.

 

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Design Director to identify and prioritize feature development

• Empower, drive and motivate your team to be their best. Unblock them when needed

• Aid in the creation and improvement of design pipelines and processes

• Collaborate with other disciplines including programming, art and production

• Foster a rapid iterative design process that frequently playtests and iterates based on playtest trends, data and observations

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior or Lead Designer

• Ability to set design-related goals and acceptance criteria for features for your team

• Experience setting project vision and roadmaps for the team

• Collaborate with the Game Director and Production to set short and long term goals for the Design Team

• Prior experience as a Systems Designer, Level Designer, or Technical Designer

• Experience developing high action competitive PVP games

• Experience with project tracking software Jira, Bugzilla or equivalent

• Experience developing games in Unreal, Radiant, CryEngine or similar game development tools 

 

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications

• A passion for all things game design

• An interest in decentralized technology

• Self-starter with proactive attitude

• AAA console development experience
